Chrome in the Classroom

October 2016 Presentation:

I plan to incorporate chrome books within my 7th and 8th grade math classes in order to enhance student understanding, comprehension, and interest in mathematics, particularly in my Algebra 1 class. These technology tools will be used throughout the school year.

The chrome books will be used to enhance the ability to connect mathematical concepts into real world experiences, through project based learning. For example, algebra 1 and pre-algebra students will use the chrome books to take photos of structures around the school, transfer them to graph paper, and then calculate the slopes, y-intercepts, and equations for the objects located throughout the school. 7th and 8th grade students will use the chrome books to complete projects, access Google classroom for flipped class instruction, take quizzes, review math concepts, complete research, etc.
