My goal as an educator is to give my students the best possible learning environment – whether that be virtual or in person. Since we have been home, I have been creating pre-recorded videos and using the digital version of our textbook to review new concepts with my students. This process has gotten easier with time, but still has some kinks that need to be ironed out. I have often thought about purchasing an iPad to use as a document camera, which would make reviewing these concepts easier and create a similar feel of being in our classroom for my students. If anything, creating a sense of normalcy for my students will be worth it all in the end.
