Johnson Central Student Senate

The Student Senates of Paintsville High School and Johnson Central High School share the community of Paintsville in Johnson County. Therefore, we would like to apply jointly for grant funding to address the problem of connectivity and utilization of digital resources available within our community. Our schools have embraced technology and the use of digital platforms within our districts and many classrooms have gone completely paperless, completing and submitting assignments online. All students are supplied with devices such as Chromebooks if needed, however, not all students have connectivity such as Wi-Fi outside of school in order to complete assignments, research subjects or further their own studies. We, along with our community partner, The Johnson County Public Library, have devised a plan to make digital connectivity available to more of our student bodies as well as our community.
