Books and Bobcats: The BEST Combination
Through my 2017-18 ARI grant, I plan to build relationships with our two feeder schools and allow my Transitional Senior English students to become authors with a “published” finished product they can allow others to read. I want to use class journals and help the students become authors of “what they know.” Being able to read and write in real world situations will help my students understand the importance of the skills. Sometimes, students don’t really understand the real world skills of reading and writing when they are reading just Beowulf and Macbeth.
