Classroom Redesign: Fixer Upper, Elementary Edition
I was fortunate enough as a second year teacher at Beaver Elementary to have been awarded a grant that provides my third and fourth grade students to learn in a flexible environment that is suitable for their learning needs. My goal was to design an atmosphere that was comfortable, inviting, and most of all, engaging for my students; meeting their individual needs. I am excited to see how the redesign of our classroom space provides an opportunity for my students to further become in control of the happenings within their learning environment and find success and achievement from an environment that fits their physical and educational needs! Move over traditional classrooms..we are becoming proficient in a non-traditional setting.
