Coding for the Future of Science
I am a Head Start Teacher at Duff-Allen Central Elementary. I have worked in Head Start for over 10 years. I have noticed in the past few years that my students had little interest in Science. They rarely like to go to the Science Center during Free Choice and this is something that I have wanted to change. Science and critical thinking skills are very important for children to develop at a young age. I want to utilize the PBS Playtime Tablet and science applications to make learning science more fun and for the children to be engaged. I think this will be an age appropriate way for them to develop science and critical thinking skills.
