I am a kindergarten teacher at Salyersville Grade School in Magoffin County. This is my second year teaching kindergarten. Kindergarten students progress at such varying levels. I am constantly assessing them to fully understand their abilities in order to ensure that my instruction is effective and reaching them at their individual levels. I wanted to find a way to streamline these assessments while also providing me data that was more accurate and user friendly. My grant will supply me with a one year subscription to the ESGI online assessment program and two iPads with covers. The assessment program allows me to administer assessments that have been created by other educators or to create my own. It is my hope that the iPads along with the assessment program will make the assessment process much faster allowing me to not only assess more often but also have more accurate and comprehensive data.
