Download Presentation PowerpointWith the funding from this project, I have ordered Playaways for my 7th grade students who do not have access to an internet connection at home to check out and listen to audible books. We have a wonderful eBook library at Jenkins and our students use it extensively. My students who do not have internet access nor a smart device are not able to use the audiobook library at home. Playaways are audible books that are housed in a small box (looking much like a paperback book) with an audio jack for ear buds. They require batteries. Students can carry them in their pocket just like carrying a phone or iPod. By purchasing these Playaway devices, all 7th grade students will have the opportunity to listen to audible books. I look forward to sharing information in the future about the usage of Playaways in the home and school library setting.
