Snapshot
Academy Designs will be a T-shirt printing business that is run by the Sebastian Middle School Sixth Grade Academy students. Students will be divided into groups where each group will be responsible for one facet of the business. Together, all groups will carryout the particulars of the business. They will advertise, gather customer interest, create designs, take up orders, and press t-shirts for the school and community. Group 1 will manage the advertising via school social media accounts, local newspaper announcements, and set-up a booth at various school-level events such as open house and sporting events. When an order is received, students in group 2 will take care of billing and order the supplies needed to fill the order. Group 3 will create a number of choices of design for the customer to choose from. When the customer is satisfied with the design, students in group 4 will (under supervision) press the t-shirts to fill the orders. When customers are satisfied with their order, students in group 2 will receive the payment and begin depositing money into their school account for profit. The business will continue to advertise and make t-shirts throughout the school year.
