Interactive Music Classroom

“Interactive Music Classroom” for Music and Arts Literacy. I am utilizing an iPad mini, an Apple TV, Bluetooth speakers and accessories for the materials, including apps and downloaded music to enhance my classroom and support literacy in Music and the Arts. I am primarily focusing on a familiarity with folk music and using Kodaly Pedagogies with Middle School students to focus in on music reading skills, ear training and internalization of musical concepts through dance singing, dance, kinesthetic exercises and auditory cues. I am also utilizing the materials to enhance the classroom through the use of apps designed to teach staff notation and for tuning. I am also using a great folksong collection created by Holy Names University that focuses on the Kodaly Concept.
