Activating Catalytic Transformation
Creating a Culture of School-wide Disciplinary Literacy
Betsy Layne is the smallest high school in Floyd County with an enrollment of 390 students. After looking at test data and reviewing school surveys, our ACT Team determined that we needed to create a literacy rich environment across the curriculum to help students improve their reading and writing skills. Working through the ACT process to efficiently and effectively assist teachers with their Theory of Action in creating a cross curricular literacy rich classroom is the goal for our ACT Team.
