Highland Elementary Community Problem Solving Team, The Learning Tree, partnered with an underprivileged school in Wilmer, Alabama. The Learning Tree

held various fundraisers, school supply drives, and wrote grants to accumulate funds in order to purchase school supplies for the students at J. E. Turner Elementary, which was destroyed by the forces of nature a couple of years ago. One hundred percent of the student families fall beneath the poverty guidelines and struggle to stay afloat. By reaching out to these students in need, The Learning Tree created a better future, by sending over $5,000.00 in school supplies for the generation tomorrow in Wilmer, Alabama.
